Student Announcements

 

Seniors:  Please verify your name for your diploma in the office.

 

Student pictures are in.  Please come in and pick up your pictures before or after school or during lunch.  Please DO NOT come in during class time.  ThanksJ

 

Picture Retakes will be Wednesday, October 29th at 8:00 a.m.  Please be sure to pick up a picture packet from the office—payment is due when pictures are taken.

 

Student Council Members need to pick up your shirts from Mrs. Seeds before Friday, October 24th or the price goes up to $20.00 per shirt.  See Mrs. Seeds with questions!

 

Students taking the ACT this Saturday, Oct. 25th:

Please report to the Back Gym between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.  Testing will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at approximately 11:45 a.m.  Approved calculators are permitted.  Please, no food or drink in the testing room.  Bring a heavy coat since it could be a bit cool in the gym.  Eat a nutritious breakfast.  Please see Guidance if you have any questions.

 

Attention seniors!  Jostens will be here 10/29 at 9:00 a.m.  in the aud to meet regarding caps and gowns. 

 

Any Junior/Senior interested in attending Technology Day at the Eastern Wyoming College campus in Torrington on November 6th can go to the EWC website at ewc.wy.edu and register. If you have questions, stop in the guidance office.

 

STARR Scholarship from Michigan State University:  Only for Wyoming students!!  Full support (tuition, room and board) for undergraduate study, books, personal computer, and other items.  Deadline:  Dec 1, Applications available in guidance.  Representatives from MSU will be in Casper, WY, on Sunday, October 26, from 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. at the Ramada Plaza Riverside Hotel.   Reservations need to be made by October 21.  Contact Ben Brown at 517-355-8332 or visit www.admissions.msu.edu/STARR.asp

 

If you signed up to play on a High School Racquetball League, schedules are at the Rec Lobby Desk. 

 

Any senior interested in playing Division 1 or 2 sports at the collegiate level needs to be registered with the NCAA Clearinghouse ASAP.  See Guidance!!!

 

A UW admissions rep will be here at DHS on Tuesday, November 18th from 9:00 - 1:00 for Early Admission Day. Stop in the Guidance Office and sign up for a 15 minute appointment. The admissions rep. will be in the media center to meet with students. You will need to bring a completed UW application, a transcript, and $40.00 for the application fee. 

 

There is a signup sheet in the office for any student wishing to ride the Spirit Bus to Wheatland Friday 10/24.  You must have a signed permission slip to get on the bus.
