Student Announcements
Reward: A $100 reward is being offered for the information leading to the recovery and person involved in the theft of tools from a vehicle parked at school.
Anyone planning on attending Prom: You must be academically eligible to attend Prom. Before buying tickets and prom apparel be sure that you are eligible. If you have any questions please see Mr. Lake.
From now until the end of the year no student is allowed in the building from 3:45 until 4:30 unless you are in detention or working with a teacher. After 4:30 no student is allowed in the building unless it is official school business. No loitering will be tolerated.
There will be a chess championship tournament on Sat. March 29th in Casper. If interested check out the office for details.
Seniors: Please turn in your senior picture to the Douglas Budget ASAP for the senior edition.
Seniors who need help with the FAFSA, please inform the Guidance Office before leaving for Spring Break!!!!!!!
There will ½ price fines Thursday and Friday of this week.
Any junior boy who is interested in Boy's State please stop in the guidance office and pick up an application packet. Applications are due back by March 15th.
Attention seniors: Jostens will be here to hand out your graduation orders on Wednesday, March 26th from 11:00-12:40. Please be sure to have your payment ready at that time.
There will be a sophomore class meeting on March 26th in the aud w/Jostens to be given information on Class rings. Jostens will return on April 1st to size fingers and take ring orders during lunches.
SENIORS:
A new scholarship has just arrived: It is called the Dennis K. Rogers Memorial Scholarship and is for seniors pursuing a career in an agricultural or mechanical field. Please pick up an application in Guidance. Deadline: April 15, 2008, to Guidance.
Safeway Pharmacy is looking for assistance during the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. You must be 18 to apply for this job. Please call Mr. Randy Harrop at 358-1706 if interested. He will visit about the salary.
SENIORS: Reminder that most local scholarship applications are due to the Guidance Office by Friday, March 28th.
Students and Staff:
Some of the BEAT (Bearcat Educational Awareness Team) students are in the process of organizing some different incentives for the upcoming testing sessions in late March and April. They have been busy visiting with some fun ideas and prizes that can involve everyone!!! Here is a glimpse of what is to come:
Theme: DHS S.T.U.D. (Study, Think, Understand, Done)
Everyone will get a DHS S.T.U.D. t-shirt to promote doing the best on all our tests.
Other prizes for hard-working, on-task students will also be available, along with a grand prize!! Test prep suggestions will be read over the intercom daily before testing.
Students will be able to play the Wheel of S.T.U.D. at lunchtime!! As soon as all prizes arrive, you will be hearing more about all of this! If you have any questions, please contact the Guidance Office or ask Marja Ritchie, Lindsay White, Hayden Barker, or Raegan Pierce!
The Douglas High School Rodeo Club is having a fundraiser Sat. night at the Moose. They are doing Chicken Bingo and a Silent Auction and a Taco Bar. Contact Raegen or Kelsey Scott for more info.
