Student Announcements
Anyone planning on attending Prom: You must be academically eligible to attend Prom. Before buying tickets and prom apparel be sure that you are eligible. If you have any questions please see Mr. Lake.
From now until the end of the year no student is allowed in the building from 3:45 until 4:30 unless you are in detention or working with a teacher. After 4:30 no student is allowed in the building unless it is official school business. No loitering will be tolerated.
Students not fulfilling assigned detention or community service will receive OSS or will start the next school year w/those disciplines.
Seniors: remember, fines must be paid before receiving your diploma or go on the class trip!
Baccalaureate will be held at 6:00 on 5/17—notice the time change.
Anyone interested in umpiring this summer, please stop by the Rec Center Office and sign up.
The senior trip has been moved to May 13th. The choir concert will be held on May 12th.
The Rec Center is looking for a DJ to play music during Legion/Jr Babe Ruth baseball games (this is a paid position). If you are interested please contact Monty Gilbreath at the Rec Center office.
Students: If any of you do not want your names released to the University of Wyoming or the United States Navy, please let Mrs. Dampman know in the Guidance Office.
Students: SUMMER JOB OPENING at the Extension Office with Mrs. Jennifer Barker. Duties are varied, but some computer knowledge would be helpful. Please contact Jennifer at 358-2417 for more details. Pay is $8 per hour.
SENIORS: Please inform the Guidance Office of any scholarships you receive, whether or not you accept them. We would like to recognize your awards on Awards Day.
Register now for the Douglas Power Meet. You may pick up forms from Mr. Bath or Mr. Dryden. The meet will be held May 20th at 3:30 pm. It is 20 dollars and prizes will be awarded for age and weight divisions.
Students in Grades 10 and 11:
Opportunities are now available for interested students to apply online for the Rotary Youth Leadership Camp (RYLA). July 13 - July 18 are the dates for students from around the region to go to the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado, and experience leadership activities, make new friends, and have a great time! Please see Guidance if interested.
Volleyball players please remember to turn in info sheet to Mrs. Rhoades asap. If you lost yours you can find one on Mrs. Rhoades Wiki page.
There will be a brief volleyball meeting after school in Mrs. Rhoades room on May 14.
The DHS Short Film Festival will be held at The Gathering Place on Friday, May 2nd at 6:00 PM. The festival will feature 10 short films, 10 min. or less each in length produced by the independent video production class. The event is free of charge. Come see some local talent.
